Artist
Nasreen Mohamedi
1937–1990 · Indian
Nasreen Mohamedi developed an exceptionally spare practice of ink and graphite drawings built from fine lines, shifting grids and intervals of empty paper. Her photographs of architecture, desert, water and shadows formed a parallel visual archive, while her teaching in Baroda influenced generations of Indian artists.
