Pam Evelyn is a British artist associated with Contemporary abstraction. Across Painting, the work investigates layered, energetic paintings in which scraped, stained and gestural surfaces hold together shifting traces of landscape and memory. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
