Samia Halaby developed a vibrant abstract painting practice shaped by color, geometry, motion and a sustained engagement with Palestinian history. Educated and based largely in the United States, she also became an early practitioner of computer-generated art in the 1980s, treating digital animation as an extension of her investigations into movement.
