Shozo Shimamoto

Shozo Shimamoto co-founded Gutai and developed radical painting methods that included puncturing paper screens and throwing glass bottles filled with pigment onto canvases. In later decades he returned to spectacular bottle-throwing performances and became active in mail art networks.
