Vladimir Tatlin
1885–1953 · Russian / Soviet
Vladimir Tatlin developed the counter-relief as a new kind of object built from industrial materials and real spatial forces. His unrealized Monument to the Third International became Constructivism’s most famous architectural image, while later projects such as Letatlin explored utopian design through human flight.
